Phonics Poem- My Sweet

My Sweet
Swallow your snowpeas please,
my sweet.
Swing swiftly on the swivel swing,
little darling.
Swirl throughthe swishing leaves,
and swim in the sweltering sun,
my sweetest sweet
sugary bun.
-Brook Pieri
Identify the sw- blends in the poem, then talk to your parents about different 'pet names', like my sweet and sugar bun. Can you think of more? What do your loved ones call you?
